Capable of operating at temperature extremes of -65°C to 260°C (-85°F to 500°F), M16878 wire will meet all your needs in almost any environment with a potential rating ranging from 250 to 5,000 volts root mean square (Vrms).
This unshielded, insulated wire is available in a wide variety of sizes and materials, and is offered with an optional braid and/or jacket. M16878 insulation is easy to strip from the conductor, leaving a clean contact surface for soldering or crimping.
We offer abrasion, chemical, and weather-resistant and low-smoke wire under this specification.

M16878 wire is available from 32 to 0000 AWG in single-element, stranded, and fine stranded wires, depending on the size of wire needed.
Note: M16878 is also known as NEMA HP3 and MIL-DTL-16878, which supersedes MIL-W-16878.
