MIL-C-26482 Series 2, bayonet coupling, rear-removable crimp contact connectors were designed as an upgrade to MIL-C-26482 Series 1.
Series 2 connectors are intermountable and interchangeable with both solder and front-release crimp Series 1.
The AE770W8-2P Series 2 connector is widely used on commercial, military and aerospace systems requiring general-purpose, miniature cylindrical bayonet coupling connector.
Unlike MIL-DTL-26482 Series I style connectors, MIL-DTL-26482 Series 2 style are supplied without rear accessories but with military standard rear threads. This lets users choose from one of the broadest array of endbells/backshells, including M85049 standard endbells, from low-cost simple cable tie versions to fully environmental sealed EMI/RFI shielded backshells.
